Please tell me it will be ok

We just talked to my sister in law.  She was 8 weeks along and is having a miscarriage.  My other sister in law miscarred 2 months ago.  A friend miscarried last month.  I feel so bad for them and I am worried sick about me.  I am 7 weeks along. Let's hope I am the exception.

I know how you feel. When I was pregnant with DD, two of my other friends were pregnant..one two weeks ahead of me and the other just one week ahead of me. When my friend went in to hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks there was none, and I felt so badly for her. I was also terrified myself for the next two weeks until I could hear DDs heartbeat (which they had trouble finding). It also made me feel guilty to even talk about my pregnancy around her, so I didn't unless she asked because I was concerned about her getting through everything alright. Just think positive and I'm sure everything will be alright.

Their pregnancies have nothing to do with yours. Try and stay calm for your sake, and be there for them during what is, I promise you, the worst moment in their lives.

No, I won't tell you it will be okay.  But I will tell you that the odds are in your favor!  :-)  M/C is incredibly common.  So to tell you it will be okay is pointless.  What will be will be.  You can just go on how you are feeling and if you are having any bad signs.  If everything seems okay....try to relax and enjoy it!  I think most people are pretty freaked out on occasion first tri.
