Re: sweetbijou
Hi ladies!
C-section is scheduled for Sept. 24 (37 weeks 2 days). I can't wait! I'm huge and extremely uncomfortable! I've been going to the MFM once a week now (sometimes twice a week) and have been having regular BHs and my BP is creeping up, so I'm hoping these babies stay in as long as possible!
They are total movers! Constantly rolling and kicking. Within the last week and a half, they have been breech/vertex, transverse/transverse, and now breech/transverse. So, I currently have one baby tap dancing on my bladder/cervix and the other one curled up in my ribs. OW!!! :-P
How are the two of you feeling? :-D
Wow...only a month left to go for you!! It seems like such a short time away but when you are so uncomfortable the days seem to creep by. I cannot believe that they have changed position so much! That is crazy. I hope that your next few weeks fly by and you keep your babies cookin until your c/s.
I am feeling very uncomfortable as well. It seems like forever and a day until I will get to the finish line. I have been on Procardia twice a day for contractions for a couple of weeks and that has helped tremendously. My only other issue is that I just got out of the hospital for my second admittance for kidney stones in this pregnancy. I had never had them before in my life and now twice in a matter of 4 months! I am hoping never to have them again as it has been the most painful thing I have ever felt.
you girls are so far along it's amazing. I love it.
I can't believe how wiggly your LO's are. I had thought once they hit a certain size it would be harder to move around, clearly I'm still naive
I'm sure the next month feels like forever away, but I'm so excited you are so close and hope your BH, etc. slow down.
i'm just at the point in my pregnancy where i'm starting to feel big and uncomfortable, and I know I have a while to go (hopefully).
I was having issues with sciatica, etc. and so I started going to a prenatal chiro and that's done wonders. And as uncomfortable as I am some times, I'm just glad to finally be able to sit down and eat a meal again. Waiting until that luxury disappears as the babies get bigger...
OMG--Ouch!!!! You poor thing! Kidney stones on top of being so far along with twins? I really feel badly about complaining now! Is there any link between pregnancy and kidney stones or is it just a coincidence? Ugh, I hope you feel better!
I'm so glad that the prenatal chiro is helping you with your sciatica! I didn't even know that there are prenatal chiros out there. How did you find her?
I've been meaning to ask you--if you don't mind sharing--where are in you upstate NY? I'm in DC now, but I grew up in Northern NY, in a very small town called Canton (about an hour northeast of Watertown).
Thanks!! How are you feeling?
I found the chiro through a friend, but you can find one in your area using this: https://icpa4kids.org/Find-a-Chiropractor/
ICPA is a specific chiro certification that requires 120 hours of study toward the care of pregnant women and children. It's made my life a million time easier!
I used to live in Syracuse, so we know watertown and canton very well. In fact, my DH played lax at SU and new a lot of kids from the north country
We're in a suburb outside of Albany now. How do you like DC? Husband is applying for new jobs now and several of them are based out of Virginia, but more toward Richmond I guess. I have several friends in NoVA and depending where you are it's really nice there (but OMG the traffic!)
My vag pain is pretty intense and totally debilitating by the end of the day. I never thought it would be so bad and I HATE to complain after all I have been through to get to this point. I am probably leaving work by 25 weeks.
My DH graduated from SU also, but didn't play any sports. He never misses a televised game though.
I love DC (I live in Arlington). I've been here since I graduated from college so this is definitely my home though I still have family up north. Yeah, the traffic definitely sucks! I've really been enjoying working from home over the past few months. :-)
Good luck with your DH's job hunt! There are so many opportunities down here--it is a wonderful place to be!
I am glad that you made the decision to leave work. I know you were struggling with it. I think it will make a lot of difference for you and make the pain easier to deal with!
I am not sure if there is a link or not. I cannot imagine that the pregnancy hasn't had a hand in causing this given that I have never had them before but I guess stranger things have happened.
