I know technically a pregnancy is "40 weeks", but my OB told me that I will deliver somewhere between 36 and 38 wks. So my question to you is when will you consider yourself half-baked? Will you call it at 20 weeks, or will you say you're halfway through at 18 or 19?

It's a silly, split hairs kind of question. But just something I was thinking about today. (I know, I need a hobby!)

My husband and I were just talking about this. He said "well, in a week you will be 1/3 of the way through" (meaning when I'm 12.5 weeks). Based on his logic I would use 18-19 as the halfway point

I said 20 weeks, still.  Makes the second half go by faster!

I have wondered the same thing.  Just like when people ask when I am due.  I know my EDD is 1/11/11, but I will most likely have the twins in December.  I feel weird saying I am due in January.  Silly, I know.

Not silly, I've been wondering this too!  Since I know I'll be having a c-section at 38 weeks at the latest, I guess I'm half way through at 19 weeks.  I still think of 20 weeks as being truly half baked though....

Hey, I am due 1/11/11 too- clearly I need to change my ticker! I always say that I'm due 1/11/11 which is a cool date but realistically hope to make it to as close to Xmas as possible.

I will consider myself next week at 19 weeks to be half baked. Only because I know the ob will not let me go past 38 weeks. 

People always ask when I am due and I have to say 1/18 but with twins it will definitely be earlier....

lovebug this happens to me too! We're due 1/24 but my Dr. said if all goes well we'll have the babies between Christmas and New Year's. I always tell people my due date is in January and if I know them then I say but we'll likely have the babies just after Christmas. Or if I don't know them I just leave it as "i'm due in January" LOL. I figure they're only asking to be polite and I don't care to explain.
