I posted this on TTGP the other day, but maybe you ladies would have more in site!
First, I know this might be flammable, second, I know we have to do what is best for us, but I want to hear wwyd?
We found out today that there is a 99% chance we are moving after Christmas, location unknown at the moment but some where with in Oregon or Washington. December will be our 1 year mark TTC, but since we know my cycles are annv. my doctor wants to put us on clomid ASAP, but we originally told him to hold off until January 11, but after talking we thought about moving up the cycle to October or November. We are really in no rush (ok DH is in no rush, he just wants another one when ever it happens, and it supportive of clomid, but not chomping at the bit) and we are both young. We are unsure of when we move if a RE will see us because of our age; here my doctor is working with a RE via phone since the nearest is 5+ hours away and He is willing to do all the proper monitoring.Would you push for an earlier cycle and hope it works, and move in the 1st tri with a toddler, or would you wait until you move, get settled, and hope someone will see you?? then we are looking at spring summer of NEXT year to start anything! We would continue the met and losing weight and hope it happens naturally. I was feeling so hopeful.Sorry its so long. DH isn't being much help and says its up to me to decide!
Re: WW3TD?
Why would you think a RE wouldn't see you because of your age? If you annov. cycles I think that qualifies you to see a specialist no matter what.
If it were me, I would wait until after the move before starting treatment. Once you are settled in your new area you can contact a RE and go through proper treatment. Then, once you are pregnant you can move over to a OB with much more ease. I think it would be incredibly stressful to move in the 1st tri with a LO and worrying about finding a good OB right away.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
I guess I was under the false impression that a RE will only see you if you are 25 or older? (not sure where I got that one!)
And thanks, I think you have a great point, and one I have seriously considered. I hate having to make decisions!
It's not that I'm not sensitive to the fact that you want a child, and for all of us every month not doing anything in IF seems like wasted time that we can't get back...but at the same time, you are young so what's a few months? Many of us have had to wait a few months here and there for various reasons (cysts, tests, financial). You're very lucky that you get to choose! Some of us don't have that luxury, we're forced to wait.
I think with your annov. history you shouldn't have a problem of getting in to see an RE, reguardless of your age. If I were in your shoes I'd wait on the clomid til I moved. But that's me. GL with your choice, whatever it is.
