1st Trimester

implantation bleeding

Ok, newish here - no updated ticker or anything, just a really old picture of my first baby.

I didn't have implantation bleeding with baby number one.  But I am spotting and crampy today.  Cannot find anything that says the cramping is normal.  Anyone want to weigh in? TIA

Re: implantation bleeding

  • Well, you do seem to have a ticker...and it says you are over 4 weeks pregnant. Implantation bleeding would have occurred like 7-11 dpo and before you had your BFP.

While some spotting and cramping isn't cause for worry, if it gets worse then you should call your doc or go to the ER.

  • from everything ive heard here and gone through myself cramping and light spotting not a big deal.  if it gets really heavy then i would ask your doctor.
  • thanks.  I thought that it was too late for implantation too, but...

And yes, while I looked around I fixed the ticker.  Gotta fix the pic now

  • I always thought implantation spotting and cramping occurred days 7-10 after o too. But then when I had spotting late in week 5 and I called my midwife, she said that it could be from implantation. I didn't understand what she said and she clarified that it's when the baby burrows a little deeper into the lining of your uterus. Anyways, I got an u/s at week 6 and we saw the fetal pole, yolk sac and heart beat. And every since, I've seen A LOT of posts from women on here talking about spotting weeks 4-6. I'm the kind of person that would call my doctor anyways. But if it's accompanied by really painful cramps and/or it is a lot of bleeding, definitely call your doctor.
  • I had implantation bleeding but it started at 9dpo, before I got my BFP.  It was light (no cramps) and lasted for a few days.
  • thanks migmare - I am trying not to panic.  Will probably wait until Monday to call doc, assuming this is still going on.
