you should check out Wekiwa Springs.It has great nature trails and an awesome swimming area that is beautiful!

If you are willing to make the drive the aquarium in Tampa is awesome and the Zoo as well. I'd also consider Wet N Wild with how hot it is right now. I believe there is also a Zoo in Sanford but I've never been there.

I know I am late but here are few things I enjoying doing...

a. Winter Park Boat tour

b. local museums

c. Sanford Fleamarket

d. Lake Eola (anyday) or the Farmer's market on sunday and saturday

e. Downtown Disney (It's free)

f. Winter Park City beach (It's the closest you'll get to a beach without having to drive 45 mins) but it's really a lake.

g. Maitland Art center and on the weekend's there's a farmers market

h. Italian Ice at Jeremiah's/Rita's

Dont forget Universal and Sea World. City Walk at Universal is fun and the Orlando Art Museum is great. Mall at Millenia  is great if you need someone to shop. Also who says you can't have more than one pool/beach day. We are in Florida and it's going to get too cold for that soon
