I am trying to think of some things my DH can do to help support me emotionally during our next cycle. I find it hard because I have to go to the clinic, I have to do injections, I have to do supp., I have to go for the beta test, I have to hear the bfn (or hopefully bfp). All he has to do is provide a sample on IUI day. I know if I asked him to support me more he would say he wouldn't know what to say or do. So, I am going to give him some ideas.
So far I am thinking that he needs to put his phone alarm on for 6pm every day so that if he is not at home he will at least think of me when I give myself my injection.
What does your DH do to help support you?
Re: Poll: What does DH do to support you during cycle?
Eh, as long as he is willing to stick a needle in me when I need him to, and perform on sample day, I don't know if there's much more he could do to support me.
I'm not really a "hand-holder" type, so if he did try to provide "emotional support" beyond what he normally does in the course of our marriage, I think it would feel weird. Really, the only time I needed emotional support (or just an absorbant T shirt to cry into) was after we lost our son.
But, that's just us. I think each couple needs to figure out what makes them happy.

I like your alarm idea! It's a way to get him to realize, on a daily basis, what you are doing. Here are some of the sweet and supporting things DH has been/will be doing for me:
1. Cooks dinner one or two nights a week so I don't have to.
2. Once I'm swollen and uncomfortable from the stims, he will be taking over my morning dog walking responsibilities.
3. Accompanies me to weekend monitoring appointments (it's a schlep if we're not on our way to work and it's early so on the weekend it's definitely a sacrifice and supportive).
4. Helps me prep every shot and stays with me until I'm done.
5. Calms me down when I'm having a hysterical hormonal fit.
I love that guy
DH is very supportive. He listens a lot, he is very encouraging. He gives me my shots. He is sincere when we get our BFN's always say babe it will happen to us. Have hope and faith. We will have our turn. He drove all the way out to Annapolis yesterday to pick up more medicine for me.
