Met with RE today for WTF appt...

So, RE starts off the appt saying how great it is that we've had "pregnancies" with both IVF's, but obviously, no live birth. So, he has complete confidence that we'll get pregnant with IVF at some point in the future. He wants to keep my IVF protocol the same b/c he said 5 of 8 embryos made it to blastocyst stage- which he says is "phenomenal."

So, he ordered karyotypes for me and my husband. We just started with DH today-goodbye to that $550!

I also had 6 vials of blood taken from me for "habitual miscarriage." I've had some lupus and MTHFR bloodwork done in the past but today they drew:

Final beta hCG (last one to complete this m/c), Lupus anticoagulant, anticardiolipin antibody, antithrombin III, Protein C&S activity, prothrombin mutation, and HgbAC.

 Our RE offers 2 guaranteed programs:

70% Refund program $17,900 + meds

This program is in effect for 24 months. Included in the fees are 3 IVF and 3 frozen transfer cycles. Patients receive a 70% refund if there is no live birth.

OR

Enhanced 100% refund program  $24,500 + meds

This program includes 4 IVF cycles and their frozen embryos over a period of 36 months. This package includes the cost of ICSI if needed.

We're trying to decide if we should do one of these packages (granted that our genetic results are normal). Our IVF RN doesn't think we need a guaranteed package, but she said that you never know....

 This is so frustrating! I guess that we feel a little better that our RE seems confident that it will work.... I wish someone had a crystal ball!

Those are really good prices.  One RE I went to - one IVF cycle was $16,000 plus meds - no guarantee.

70% refund program looks like a good deal to me.  3 fresh IVF cycles for $17,900 is a good price just in itself - that's $6,000/cycle.  Then if you don't get a baby, you get back 70% - that's a good deal.
