baby shower invite...

So, do you put somewhere on the invite, "Its a boy!"...or put it somewhere on your registry? The invite is gender neutral and not blue or pink...So just wondering what the etiquette is.

I don't know etiquette but I'd think it would be ok to put it on both It's not tacky to tell people what you're having

I don't see anything wrong with putting it on both. Everyone will want to know what you're having anyway!

There's definitely a spot on baby registries to indicate the sex of the baby.  Most invites I've seen have specified sex if it was known, and often have referred to the baby by name... but when in doubt, I check the registry for the "It's a boy!" or "It's a girl!" statement at the top.

My invites will be neutral but my friend is adding a little poem stating its a girl on the way..
