heat on my abdomen?

I have a nice bruise on my lower abdomen (about 2inches below my belly button) from acupuncture earlier this week.  I am in the beginning of my 2ww from IUI on Wednesday... is it safe to put some heat on my bruise to speed up its healing, or should I just leave it alone and wait it out?

I would not. My RE said no heating pads during the 2ww or stims.

I wouldn't. Just wait it out.

thanks ladies, that's what I was thinking... the bruise doesn't bother me so it will be fine

Speaking from experience, after we received the anencephaly dx (which is a fatal neural tube defect), the MFM who we went to for a second opinion asked me if since my IUI I had taken any hot baths, went into a sauna, used a heating pad on my abdominal area, etc.

Thankfully, I was able to answer this question "no", but it would have killed me to find out that I had done something to cause the NTD.

It's not worth it.
