Thought I'd post a funny story since it's Friday...and it's somewhat of a confessional too, since I have not been able to tell many of my friends about it...not knowing if they'd think I was crazy...
So I used my birthday gift money to go to a pretty famous NYC psychic/medium in mid July. She writes the horoscopes for Glamour or Cosmo...one of the two...and wrote a book called, "Never Throw Rice at a Pisces" (for brides to be). It was on my bucket list of things to do in my life...and since I have a BIG LOOMING question these days...I thought, why not?! My mom went to a psychic in New Orleans when she was my age, with a bunch of girls during a bachelorette party...and she always told me that that psychic made accurate predictions.
Well, long story shorter...She laid out the cards and said "Wow...fertility is everywhere!!!" Keep in mind that this lady knows NOTHING about me. I purposefully did not give her any hints and kept my questions simple. She then told me I would be pregnant in 6-7 weeks or months (most likely months)...and that she saw a "bingo-bingo" later on, which she explained as possible back-to-back pregnancies. She said I'd have a girl and then a really obnoxious son (geez). What really got me teary-eyed was that she said I would absolutely love being a parent...that she could see me loving everything, even changing diapers (shock for me)...And then she added that I needed to "grow up" my husband as soon as possible...She said he was too much like a child at present (gulp).
Anyway...hope I didn't bore you...but it was a cool experience....I just hope she's right!!!
Anyone else have a similar experience?
Re: So I went to a psychic... (Long)
Glad you enjoyed it! I've never been to a psychic, but there's a woman in KY that my Nana's church group had come to one of their meetings. I happened to be down visiting that week and went. I never believed in anything like that...until that night. Again, the woman knew NOTHING about me and I didn't ask any questions. Immediately she said that my grandmother was with me (she had died the previous year after 10 yr battle with Alzheimer's) and that she had "sent" someone to be with me. I didn't say anything about it when she first said it...then later she mentioned it again. When I asked "what does she mean" she said...."she's laughing. she wants to know if you thought it was a coincidence that he showed up in your life when he did." (I had met my - now husband, then boyfriend - two days before she passed. I was totally convinced by that point. (She had made several other comments that convinced me as well)
She had also told me that thought it wouldn't be a "straight path" to being a mother, that I would be...and I should "appreciate the journey". Totally didn't understand what that meant...but 4 year later, I completely understand.
Wow that gave me goose bumps. I have been to few that were full of crap.
I did have on reading tha was amazing, The psychic said there was someone in the room with me and described her. This person was concered about someone in my life. The psychic had described my grandmother's sister that had passed away a couple years ago and at the time my grandmother's health was in decline. The description of my great-aunt was from a picture of her in her twenties that would always come to my mind when I thought about her. There is no way the psychic knew any of this ahead of time.
Whoa! Very cool stories. I got chills! Thanks for responding and sharing them. Good luck to all of you along your journeys!
She told a nice story, but I don't like her lack of dates on time frame.
I have been to a few in my past. In fact when I was with my ex, we went to a turkish coffee cup reader. He told me my ex and I would have a child and marry, but that he would treat me bad and that I would leave him. He said I would have a sad life for a while until I met another man who I would live out the rest of my life with surrounded by water. He said we would live sorounded by water. Never said anything about additional children. We are yet to see the water... LOL
Good point, Mari. I really wish she had been more accurate with dates. I don't understand why it would be 6-7 months or weeks. Oddly, 8/23 is right in between 6-7 weeks since I saw her, and that is when I have my next dr visit to see if my recent IUI worked. If I get a BFN, well, I guess I'll hope she really did mean 6-7 months, as opposed to never.
I think it's so unique that you went to a Turkish coffee cup reader! His story was more poetic. Thanks for sharing! Keep us posted on the water thing!
What part of KY? My aunt and grandma went to an angel reader (i guess it is like a psychic). I think they found here through my aunts church in Harrodsburg.
