Bugs like me?

About a week ago I woke up with about 5 new bug bites and had no idea how I'd gotten them (hadn't been outside, etc.).  The next day I had about 5 more.  Over the last few days I've randomly gained more of both mosquito bites and little bug bites and I've been so damn itchy.

Yesterday DH showed me several little shiny black dead bugs on our bathroom floor and said, "Look, these bugs were on you," meaning on my pj's, which hang above that spot while I shower, "and I also saw a couple of dead ones in the shower this morning after you got out."  Gross?  I checked the bed several times and did not see any little bugs in our white sheets.  I have no idea where they're coming from and DH hasn't gotten bitten at all.

Last night we discovered a mosquito in living room (the one who had bitten me previously?) after it stalked me.  This morning it made another attempt at me when I came downstairs but DH got it before it reached me. DH also discovered another one of those little shiny bugs in the bathroom after I'd been in there.

DH did some research and it seems that bugs, esp. mosquitoes, are especially drawn to pregnant women due to the extra carbon dioxide and heat they give off and perhaps their hormones.  I'm only 5w2d so I wouldn't expect to be dealing with this so early but I guess it's going to be a theme around here for a while.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've never heard of that, but it freaks me out! I'd still call an exterminator in case it's an early case of bedbugs or something in the house. And maybe try using a lotion with real essential oils (not artificial scents) that tend to repel bugs. I'm thinking lavender and rosemary, but I'd look it up. Avalon Organics makes some lotions that I like for general pregnancy itchiness.
