Does period like bleeding mean miscarriage?

I am experiencing period like bleeding, maybe a bit lighter..def not spotting. Its been 3 days now. No pain. I had a blood test yesterday, i am 10 Hcg and should be 4 weeks preg.

 Does this for sure mean chemical pregnancy? Is there a chance?

 I have more blood work on Monday.

I'm sorry, it does sound like a chemical pregnancy.

I hope the bloodwork on Monday says differently.

The bleeding in combination with the 10 hCG is alarming.  But, there is still a chance.  I've seen several women go through bleeding episodes and come through them just fine, and you could have ovulated late.  Hang in there!

I'm sorry that you're going through this. The low HCG and bleeding does not look good. Hopefully your next beta will at least double. Good luck to you.

DH and I went through this with our first BFP.  I started bleeding at 5 weeks.  My HGCs were 19 and then 4 three days later.  While I was devastated, I knew that by those emotions I was ready to have a baby.  We waited a cycle per our Dr.'s instructions and got our DS's BFP the next month!  Good luck...it's hard to imagine now, but if it is a miscarriage, it's your body's way of saying this one's not perfect.
