Since we're talking about names, here's one I saw today

Aleigha.

My first instinct was ew.  But the little girl was so freaking adorable.  But typing it out, it looks seriously awkward.

  • How is that even pronounced?
  • uh-lee-a  is my guess...i kinda like it

  • Someone in my playgroup has a daughter Alleha.  I'm thinking it's pronounced like that.  I like the sound but not that spelling.

  • Maybe it's a foreign name. If its a made up name then yuck. I hate when people do that!

People on here have commented on DS#2's name. They have no idea how to pronounce it! LOL

It's Eimhin....which is pronounced Evin and is essentially the same name. but it's the Irish spelling and as we are Irish living in Ireland and its a real name, I like it! Smile Actually, the true Irish spelling has fada's on it: ?imh?n

I guess some might have a problem with #3's name...Fionn. It is pronouced f-yun. Like fun with a yuh in it. It too is a very old Irish name and another version of Finn.
