How to handle..

A dear college friend will be running a preschool from her home. I would love to use her as our DCP but unfortunately it just will not work. She closes at 4:30 daily as well as charging us for 6 days of personal leave (not including holidays). She will be closed for 3 weeks in October. Honestly there are just too mnay days off for it to work.How to I tell her nicely?

    Just be honest & tell her the schedules aren't going to work.

    I am not sure who's schedule 4:30 works for, I would guess it works for very few working parents.  Is she expecting you to use her?  Unless you have already told her you would (which you need to then explain that her schedule does not work for you) then it is very presumptious (sp) of her to expect it.

    I never told her he would go there...because until Monday I did not know the price (which is way more than the preschool we are considering), hours, or time off. I think all together it is a no but I want to spare her feelings.
