We're doing a "Fancy Nancy" themed party for DD#1 who will be 4 next month.  I had this "great" idea that for a party activity (it will be at a local park, pretty casual and low key, but still "fancy" lol) the girls could decorate party hats.  I was envisioning big floppy hats with wide brims...kind of like what you might imagine ladies might wear to "tea."  I figured I could find plain felt or cotton hats at a craft store like Michaels, but so far it has been a big fail.  My online searches have not proved fruitful so far...anyone have any ideas?  I have them decorate something else (like bags) or do some other activity if I can't make this work....but I really like the concept, so any and all ideas are much appreciated!!

I don't know how expensive they would be, but have you tried KMart/Target.

I know it was said before but I just did a search for hats on www.orientaltrading.com and there are tons there and most are under $20 per dozen.

Thanks ladies--Oriental Trading was the place...just ordered 18 sun hats:)
