Trying to Get Pregnant

Back Pain at CD8?

I never used to feel back pain around O at all and since we have been TTC it seems like it is getting worse. I typically get a + OPK around CD13-16 and here I am on CD8 with back pain like someone is trying to rip out my right ovary.

Over the past couple of months I have had pain like this during my LP, to the point of missing work once right before AF arrived because I could barely sit up, but never before O.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does this happen to anyone else this early in their cycle? I don't want to run to my doctor over little things, but this is getting painful and I don't want to just pop a motrin for every little pain, especially when TTC.

TIA!

  • I guess that I should also add that every month the pain is always on my right side. I never have this pain on my left at all.

  • I have low back pain after O, throughout the LP, it is awful and it hasn't been like this always, it started a couple cycles ago.  It bothers me.

Extra Strength Tylenol helps. Hope you feel better.

  • This started for me about 6 or so months ago...There was a point where the pain was pretty overbearing as well...

I happened to have an u/s scheduled a few days after the pain started and they found a cyst on my ovary....same side as the pain.  The pain subsided a few days later-- same time the cyst went away.

Flash forward two months later, pain was back-I had a followup u/s to confirm, and surely- there was the cyst! And again, a week or so later, the pain went away, so i'm assuming so did the pesty cyst.

So it's possible maybe that is what you're feeling?

  • interesting... thanks. During my annual my doctor didn't seem worried about it but if it is to the point I'm missing work then I get worried about it.... When I saw him it had only happened once too, so now that it is becoming recurring it makes me wonder.

I don't want to be crazy self-dianosing myself either though and my insurance is a b!tch for random non-annual visits. ugh. thanks again
