Trouble TTC

for anyone who has tested out a trigger

Do you put any stock into whether it's becoming lighter or darker...or just say it's either BFP or BFN while you're testing it out?  Could the lighter/darker thing just be how concentrated your urine is even if you're using FMU?  I tend to drink lots of water in bed before I fall asleep and during the night.  Just trying to figure out what I'm seeing as I test these suckers out.  TIA

Re: for anyone who has tested out a trigger

  • No, this is exactly why my RE advised me NOT to test at home after using a trigger, but to wait for my beta. What DPT are you?

well I'm 16 days post trigger...but 9 days post booster.  I take two ovidrel shots per cycle.  1 to trigger, and 1 to help support my LP.  I have LPD.  So it's been 9 days since I took any ovidrel.

My RE always said that I should wait until at lest 12DPT until taking a home test result seriously. Sounds like you need a few more days to get it out of your system.

  • Last cycle I tested out my trigger at 6dp trigger and 8 dptrigger. At 6, it was a very faint positive, and it was gone by day 8.  I hope this is it for you!!
  • I'm not there yet - but just wanted to say Good Luck. :-)

  • I also do a booster, and I tried to test it out last cycle. It did tend to get lighter as it left my system, but by the end of five days of testing it out, I was starting to see things that weren't there! I won't be testing mine next time. Good luck!

was it 5 days after your booster that you tested it out...or 5 days of testing?  I ask this because I don't start testing it out until 6dp booster...I'm now on 9

  • I can't answer your question, because I never tested out my trigger. BUT GL and FX for this cycle!  I am stalking you!
