Her fb seems to indicate that she's in labor right now.
I'm really excited for her. They tried for years, suffered many m/c's and finally (I think finally is fitting in this case, right?) got pregnant with a sticky baby.
I assume they used donor eggs? Good for her, and good luck. I can't imagine having my first at that age. My aunt had her first at 43 (pregnant by surprise...she had several abortions in her 20s/30s and decided to keep this one). Thankfully she is energetic!
WHAT!??!! 52? God bless her! Wow! Talk about waiting a long time! Good for her!
Yup, pretty crazy, right? I don't think I'll ever complain to her about being exhausted from night wakings or chasing DS around because I imagine in 25 years I'll be way more tired than I am now!
I know some in our family are talking about her behind her back because they think she's too old.

Yeah no kidding! I'm sure that will be hard, but she's obviously wanted it for a long time. I'm sure she will be a great mom!

I'm not sure. I know they did a lot of fertility treatments (I believe they even went out of the US for some), but I'm not sure what they were. I didn't find out that they were even trying until I was pregnant with DS and definitely didn't feel comfortable bringing up TTC with someone who was having a hard time, especially while pregnant.
Based on what you said, she didn't wait until 52 to start TTC..She has obviously had a hard time..I can't believe they're talking about her! More power to her!!

Good for her! So glad her fight seems to have turned out worth it. Really age is nothing but a number, my dad is 58 and the most fit and healthy person I know.

Wow. Hope she has a complication free birth, and I hope it's everything she ever wanted.
