Trying to Get Pregnant

Please recommend your ovulation tests---

We are TTC on cycle #3 now----I've been testing and keep getting BFNs--at this point I'd be happy with a shadow of a positive.  I feel like I have symptoms but maybe it's just too early.  Although I'm hooked on POAS I'm going to try and hold off until Friday to test again.  I'm not even sure which DPO I'm on since I thought I O'd and then about a week later realized that I hadn't and did then---regardless we did lots of business to hopefully seal the deal.

Anyways---if for some reason it's not our month--I want to start using the ovulation test strips so we can better insure a BFP next month as I'm nearing 35 and don't want to waste anymore time.

FWIW---I'm not officially charting.  I did while TTC our DS, which worked but because of his insane sleeping and getting woken up in the night, it's just not the best thing for us.  I've been temping for about a week since I already knew what my baseline was and it's up still--which is good, right??  LOL

TIA!  Spreading baby dust to all!!!

  • I use both First Response Ovulation Kit and the Answer strips. I like the Answer strips best. Basically because they're cheaper and they work great. Plus, I can throw them in my trash can without it looking like I've taken 500 pregnancy tests in one week! haha A lot of ladies on here like the ones from Amazon that are really inexpensive. I'll be ordering those on our next TTC cycle. As long as you don't mind peeing in a cup, the cheap ones are great. Some people can't do the cup thing and just like the convenience of the stick. But, honestly they all seem to work the same, no matter the cost. I haven't tried the digital because I don't seem to have a problem getting a clear positive on the non-dig ones. HTH

  • I use the CVS brand strips. They work just as well as any other, and with extra rewards bucks, they're pretty cheap. I usually use a CBE digital to back-up when it looks positive, but that's just because I like to see the smiley face.

  • I used early-pregnancy-tests.com ovulation strips.  Helped me get pregnant the first time with my first now hoping for a positive this month with our second.
