A nice little story those carrying twins...

It seems like one of the biggest fears for you Momma's of multiples is having premature babies (and all the risks involved with delivering early) , so I just wanted to share a quick good story with you all.

A co-worker has made it to 38 weeks carrying twin boys (went through several rounds of IVF before finally getting her BFP). Both babies are 7lbs each and they have scheduled a c-section for this Friday.

That sounds like my sister!  She has twins (now 8).  My nephew was born 7Ibs 3oz and 23 inches long. My niece was born at 7lbs 6 oz. and 21 inches long.  Lots of baby in there!

Thanks for sharing! I'm definitely a bit nervous about having my twins early. I just went for my 30 week appointment today and am scheduling my c-section for 38 weeks. I'm hoping to make it to the date!!

30 weeks is AWESOME! You have already made it so far I will pray for you that you make it another 8 weeks!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!  It's just great hearing a story of twins making it to 38 weeks when you hear so many being preemies.

It's always nice to hear the positive stories.  A woman in my neighborhood went to 40 weeks. (why her doctor didn't schedule something for 39 weeks, I don't know.)  So there is hope, a lot of mommas make it well past 37 weeks!!

But...I'm the Debbie Downer here.  My poor cervix isn't in it to win it, apparently.  My boys are big, last week they were 4lb9oz and 4lb8oz, which were great sizes for 31 weeks.  I think the weight may be too much for the cervix.  It's only .6 right now.  But hey, I've kept them in another week and my MFM said I very well could still be pregnant at 36 weeks. So I'm hoping I can be one of those success stories!!
