My husband's HR people called the insurance company who promptly said whoever we were speaking to at the office was misinformed. They called this morning to get to the bottom of things.
My husband called the OBs office to confirm, and then when I didn't believe the answer, I called too.
After all of that yesterday - I don't have to change doctors. The person that told me they don't take the insurance was wrong - the new plan will be be fine.
So happy that everything is working out - but really wishing that people would double check their facts before saying "No - Dr L does NOT participate in ANY HMOs at all".
I'm glad that's over.
