DH & I registered for Carter's Bumble Bouncer. We did it at the store. Now I am updating & reviewing our registry (shower isn't for another month, invites aren't out yet,) to make sure it's got a good variety, and I'm also reading the reviews on all the items, swapping out things that aren't so great (but looked great at the store). The Bumble Bouncer still looks cute but the reviews are only so-so.
Any suggestions? Anyone had this bouncer? A different bouncer to recommend?
Re: recommend your bouncer
Why are the reviews only so-so? What do they say? To me, a bouncer is a bouncer. As long as it has a harness, looks soft and comfy, has a toy bar (even though we didn't use it the first couple months too much), vibrates, and bounces (manually). I think it looks fine, but I only saw a quick pic online.
I had a Fisher Price bouncer from Target and it did the job just fine, but I think yours looks much comfier.

several people were concerned that it didn't have newborn head support, which means if we go with this one, we wouldn't use it until LO is a little older. others thought the baby could too easily fall out of it. someone else thought the toys weren't attention-grabbing for the baby (the colors are pastel so I can see that being true).
Several folks said "get a Fisher Price" but there are a lot of Fisher Price models out there, and all seemed to get similar ratings. Do you know what model you had from Fisher Price?
FWIW we are registered at both BRU and Target but planned to just tell people about BRU and if someone says "I don't know where one is," or "it's too far," Target is a backup option. But I didn't really know how to monitor both lists to avoid getting duplicate items which is why I really only want to let on that we have BRU. (Target, however, gave us a gift card, which is why we bothered registering there at all.)
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

I think it looks like it has head support...? It has that round head support thing at the top. FWIW, I don't think most offer too much in the way of head support. Ours didn't and we just laid in one of those infant head support things that I think was made for a car seat (but sold separately).
The one we had from Target was the Soothe N Play, nothing special but it worked just fine and the babies slept in all the time (napped with supervision).
The toys aren't super interesting but sometimes I changed them out by hanging different ones on. Like I said, we didn't use the bar a lot because it was a pain to take on and off. And by the time they were old enough to interact with the toys, they were too big to sit in it for too long patiently.

Thanks ladies!
When we saw it in store, we really liked it. But I'm not an infant, so what do I know?
I will definitely check out the other suggestions!
We had a Fisher Price bouncer for DD and it was our lifesaver. Seriously, I almost cried the day I gave it away to someone, haha. We just got another Fisher Price one for this baby. Most of the FP models are the same, just different patterns, toys, etc. so I don't think you can go wrong picking one of them.
FWIW, I decided to get a Bright Starts one for this baby at first because I figured "a bouncer is a bouncer" so why not spend half as much money. Well, it was positioned so upright that I knew it would not work for a newborn...it went back to the store and I picked up the FP again.
Thanks laides--I definitely think we are going to see what FP models are out there in our price range.
For you FP moms--did you have any issues with it when your LO was very small/newborn? Or is it something you wouldn't bother with until LO was bigger anyway? Because if the one we registered for is just not newborn appropriate--but no bouncer is--it's kind of a non-issue.
