CD1 and Femara ?

So I started spotting yesterday and AF arrived this morning.  It hit me a lot harder than I thought it would.  Crying  It didn't help how disappointed DH was.

 So I spoke with the nurse this morning.  My RE said that we will try Femara days 3-7 this cycle since I didn't have a great response to 150mg of Clomid.  If I don't respond well to Femara then we move on to injectables.  So hopefully I get a few good follies this time. 

He prescribed 7.5mg.  Is that the normal dose?  I forgot to ask!  TIA!

Me (32) Dx PCOS, DH (32) SA = Normal/mild morph issues

TTC#3 July 2014 - Metformin +TI = BFP at 9dpo - Twins, one baby lost at 5.5 weeks

    It isn't the lowest dose, but it is a good amount. I was on 2.5 of Femera with injectables too.

    TTC since 7/06, found out about PCOS on 8/31/06 Dec.2007~ Metformin 1500mg, prenatals, Femara 2.5mg)(cd3-7), Gonal F 100iu(cd5-?) and Ovidrel with TI. DH~ antibiotics to improve motility (cd1-10)

    Not sure about the dosage since I only did clomid but I hope the Femera works better for you.  Sorry about AF showing up:(

    Sorry about AF!! This is my first round of Femara and my RE started me at 5 mg, I was never on Clomid. I hope the Femara works better for you!!

    2.5mg Femara is the lowest dose.  The 7.5mg dose is "equivalent" to 150mg of Clomid.

    That's what I was thinking when she said it was 3 tablets at 2.5 mg each.  Thanks!
