    I hate it when that happens.  Since we are wired into an alarm company then they start calling when DH can't figure out which on is going off.

    We had a hardwired alarm in our NYC appt - I didn't understand how it worked (not on battery, duh) so when an alarm starting beeping at 3am one morning and we couldn't figure out which one - I blamed that alarm and knocked it off the ceiling.

    Yeah, not a fun thing to explain to the super.

    OMG! This. DH laid there for a half an hour before  going to get the ladder (stupid vaulted ceilings). What did he think was going to happen? Stop on it's own or did he think I was going to go to the garage and get the ladder, carry it upstairs, climb it and change the battery?

    Ugh!

    We had one going off in our basement last week - luckily around dinnertime not the middle of the night.  DH went down the basement to investigate and couldn't find the alarm.  I finally went down and not only was the only visible alarm the one beeping - but it also was saying, Low Battery.  Situational deafness.

    I hate when then happens!!!  The only time it ever seems to happen is when DH is deployed so I start running all over the house like a crazy person trying to figure out which one it is!
