Aislyn's birth story

Is on my blog

Few things that I didn't mention was how angry I was with my MIL.  Three weeks before she was born, I told her she was not allowed in the room when I was in labor.  I understand it was not active labor, but she seemed to show up four times before our baby was born.  She came Friday morning when she was waiting to check into her room, that afternoon after she went to the dollar store to get some things for Aislyn, and again that night to see how we were.  She called at 6am, DH told her he would call when something happened, she showed up at 8am when I was having horrible contractions.  She also doesn't knock and walks right in while I am straddling a chair with my butt hanging out from the hospital gown.  She also seen I had a girl before I did before she didn't do a good job of waiting where she was supposed to.  She left like 5 minutes after meeting her granddaughter.  She came the next day and left when my aunt and uncle came and called and yelled at DH becuase he hurt her because she left when my family showed up.  She was never asked, but apparently she is the only one allowed to be there.  Meanwhile my aunt and uncle drove two hours just to see us.

Also, I had a lot of issues after the birth cause of the c-section, but I am getting better at letting that go.  I cried about it a few times, but it is better now.

Re: Aislyn's birth story

  • I'm sorry that it wasn't at all how you imagined it would be, but that seems to be the case for everyone these days!  Aislyn is beautiful!

  • So sorry you have to be put out and were so groggy for her birthday. I know very few of us have our ideal birth, but a c-section and having to get knocked out will take a lot to let go of. Time will help with letting that go. She is beautiful though!

  • What a cutie!  Congrats to you and Adam and YAY for July babies!
  • I just finished reading your birth story. What a precious baby girl you have! Our progression in the beginning was very similar and I appreciated your comments especially while I was in the hospital. I will be praying for your recovery =)
