A kid from a local high school had a heat stroke yesterday. He's in really bad condition -- his body temp was 108 when he got to the hospital & he was in cardiac arrest. Now he's on dialysis.
He was at football practice, outside, and it was 106 degrees yesterday. Word on the street is that he passed out once & the coach told him that he had to finish running laps when he came to. Truly awful if that's true.
Anyway, send him some extra vibes if you have some. His dad & DH work together, and DH said they called the family in once today already. I can't imagine...

That's horrible.
I keep telling Brett our child won't play football and this is one of the reasons why. The weather is just too much.
That coach can be sued...I hope he realizes that.
