OB suggestions

I just found out I'm pregnant!!! YAY!!!! I would love to call and go ahead and schedule my first appointment. I know it will be a few weeks before Im seen. BUT, Im in need of a good recomendation on a OB. I dont have one local and would like to know if there is a Dr/Facility that you've had a good experience with and would like to pass on I live near Winder,ga, so  I am close to MANY Atlanta area locations.

Congratulations!

Do you have an idea at which hospital you would want to deliver?  If there is one that you prefer then you probably want to look for an OB/practice that delivers at that hospital.

My practice is affiliated with Northside Hospital and I love them.  I use North Atlanta Women's Specialists.  I'll warn you, though, that sometimes the wait times before your appointment can be long - at least it seemed to be last year when I was nearing the end of my pregnancy.  I don't know if it's still that way, but just wanted to put that out there.

Thanks!!! I would LOVE to deliver at North Side!. We're in the process of looking at moving so it depends on where we end up. But I was also thinking about delivering at Gwinette Medical Center!

I also use North Atlanta Women's Specialists and agree about the long wait times.  But I try to overlook it b/c am so happy with the care I get from them.

If you go with Gwinnett Medical my sister delievered her 2nd with Dr. Pohl and he was awesome. She had complications in the middle of her L&D and he pretty saved my sister and my nieces life. She still sees him for her annuals and jsut loves him.

If you do Northside, I love my practice. It's Atlanta Women's Specialists. There are 5 OBs now I think and you get whoever is on call the day you deliever but you can pretty much see whoever during your pg. Love Dr. Angus, Dr. Dawson and Dr. Jeffers. Those are my faves out of th egroup.
