We want a family weekend getaway. Where should we go? Kid friendly for ages 2 1/2 and 3 month old. Thanks for any suggestion.

Preferrably within driving distance from ATL.

We went to Gatlinberg/Pigeon forge a few weeks ago and enjoyed staying in a cabin with a mountain view.  There are all kinds of attractions around there.

If you haven't recently I'd do Chattanooga. I bet William would love the aquarium and they have a kids museum all within walking distance of each other and good restaurants.

I love Savannah, but haven't been in a long time and have no idea how kid friendly it is.

Chattanooga...you can do a boatride as well. Hilton Head if you want to drive that far.

Chattanooga or Greenville, SC. I know you are probably thinking Greenville, but they have the cutest downtown riverside area, an awesome running/walking trail that goes by a cute zoo and a massive playground for the kids. And great restaurants. We went for Mother's Day last year and it was great!
