I knew being in the hospital so much would be a billing nightmare but I was not prepared for the legal sized enveloped a half an inch thick of explanation of benefits from my insurance company (and how can they call them that when they don't actually explain anything?!?!?!) and the stack of 15+ hospital, radiology and lab bills that greeted me in our PO box today.

Ugh. 

 PS- I know that was a run on sentence but my head is spinning from trying to figure all this out!

Ugh is right, there's nothing more stressful than a mailbox full of unexpected medical bills.  It's frustrating for sure, I have DH dealing with ours since it is such a headache!  Sorry you have to deal with this too.

I totally understand. I spent the last hour at my desk trying to reconcile all my docs bills. Why do they make this so difficult to figure out??

Oh gosh - That sounds like a lot to try to figure out! Can't we just call the insurance company and tell them that you have been through enough already?!?

I hope it gets sorted out soon hon.

I've decided their goal is actually to push you over the edge with paperwork. I think they figure once you actually NEED medical care you're a problem child, so better to just push you to suicide (at least that's how I feel every time I talk to the insurance company.)
