So, Little Cooper will be here on 8/31 at the latest. I am scheduled for my c/s that morning at 6:45

I went to dr yesterday b/c my contractions were hurting so much but sadly I haven't made progress since Thursday (also gained no weight, so yay for that). So I"m still 2 cm dilated and thin. I saw the np and she said the same as the dr...neither think I'll make it till 8/31, so here's hoping!!

I guess I'm just so frustrated b/c most people would know to call the dr or go to L&D based on having intense painful contractions and I can't rely on that. I talked to her about staying at mom's and she basically said if I am at home and feel contractions that I should lay down and drink water and time them...if they are consistent (5 min apart or less) and painful for 2 hours and don't go away, I should call... but if I am at mom's, I really only have an hour to monitor so I can still get to hospital timely if I need to. So, there we are.

OK so all you second timers are kinda freakin me out here- I can't believe you're all so close! 8/31 will be here in no time!

I understand the whole painful contractions and not knowing if you should call. My body just likes to contract and even with painful contractions I don't usually progress but there still is a slight chance something might happen. I always do the take 2 tyelnol, drink a large glass of ice cold water, and take a bath to see if they will ease up or stop. Usually it helps.

At least you have an end in sight and it'll be here before you know it.
