Sorry.. another "poo" question

Has your (potty trained) DC pooped at home only?

My DD has only pooped at home.. somehow she never has had to go when she is at preschool or out and about.  She has been potty trained for about 9 months, and has never had a poop accident (she has had a few pee accidents).

The thing is, when she has to go #2, she runs to the potty and goes immediately.  So I am amazed that she hasn't had to go somewhere else (like it doesn't seem she would hold it well).  I am also really worried that she is going to have an accident - what if we are somewhere and there is a long walk to the bathroom or a big line and she has to wait 5-10-15 minutes or whatever.

Part of it is that I worry, but I am also just curious as to other kids.

Re: Sorry.. another "poo" question

  • Some kids/adults too poop very much on a schedule and always go at around the same time.  Not the case at all in my house!!  I always have extra undies and pants with me for my kids just in case of an accident.  DD #1 has been trained for well over a year but I don't even remember her last poop accident.  She will go potty anywhere and thinks that porta potty's are the coolest thing )1st time she has been in them was this summer at a work event of my DH's).  My little one is a whole different story.  She is pee trained for day and naps and getting better with nights but has a long way to go with poop.  She can do it and has done so by herself but more so will just go in her undies.  She gets freaked out by tall potty's anywhere (someone's home or public) so I end up having to sort of sit on the potty and hold her while she goes.  We have avoided accidents in public but she has them at school and home for pee from time to time.  I also keep a travel potty with me in the car at all times so I can easily pull over wherever I am if needed and when we are places like the state fair and other big events where I know there will be really long lines for the bathroom, I always put it in my bag so we can go anywhere if needed.

  • DS was like that for a while after he was first PT, and for around 6 months, I'd say.  He wouldn't poop at daycare, but would come home and poop every single afternoon.
