maternity ward tours

How far along in your pregnancy do you plan (if at all) to schedule your maternity ward tours?  I was thinking between the 25-30th week.

This exactly. My hospital recommends that you're in your 3rd tri when you take the tour.

great thanks!  I'll aim to schedule it around 28-30 weeks

I had mine at 23 weeks.  I'm so glad I did because I had to stand up the whole time.  My ankles were swollen afterward.

I did mine at 16 weeks.  The hospital I will deliver at does special tours and education for multiples.  The tour included the NICU, which is not included on the other tour.

My dr. said to sign up for all of that stuff in the 3rd tri but since i have all of the holidays within my last 2 months I'll probably do them early on in it - like beginning of November.

That sounds about right - Where in NJ are you?  are you delivering here?

I did a tour, but I ended up delivering in the OR and I've made a trip to L&D before the tour, so it was pretty pointless for me.

I did two tours - one in the hospital where I ended up delivering at (NYP in the city) and another at St. Peter's.
