Did anyone get pregnant using the pull out method...Hubs swears that pulling out makes it next to impossible to get pregnant but I say otherwise...just wanted some stats to back up my side...my brother and i are 13 months apart and we are so close. I want that for my kids. I really want to start trying soon for 2u2..

I used that method for a yr and a half and it worked the entire time. BUT......the whole "pre-ejac." thing is the reason its not really supposed to work. I would definitely not use it at a primary form of bc.

my sister's 3rd baby was conceived that way. They had sex once that month and he pulled out....she called the baby miracle as a joke....but seriously, her OB said it happens a lot.

I think there was an article floating around that it used correctly is like 90% accurate (but is only usually 60% accurate at prevent because of error)

Worst birth control method ever. You might as well just not bother. Seriously. Look up stats on google of pull and pray and yeah. If you had an easy time getting pg with your first chances are you'll be pregnant pretty quickly if all you do is pull and pray!

We had sex 1x in 4 weeks, using pull and pray.

Amazing it was as effective as it was (I never went on BC after having W, got pg when he just turned a year).

Since we will be TTC in December, we dont want to get back on the pill..It wont upset me in the least if we get pregnant before...Actually I think it would be exciting to have it be a surprise...

I would not rely on it if you absolutely did not what to get pregnant.  If you are in a "see what happens" state of mind then go for it. 

I think we had sex once or twice the month I got PG this time.  It took us 3 years and fertility procedures to get pregnant with DD.  My OB said that you are super fertile after you have a baby so be sure to use protection if you don't want to get pregnant again.  We laughed at the idea but were thrilled to find out she was right.

Okay, so this is what I learned in med school.  I ended up going into psychiatry, so take what I say with a grain of salt. 

There isn't any sperm in the pre-ejac.  If your DH really pulls out before he ejaculates, then there is no reason you should get pregnant.  However, that is a particularly dangerous time to rely on the honesty of even the most wonderful, faithful, and trusted of men.  They just aren't in "good decision making" mode right then.
