Hi, DH and I have read about a clinic/RE in La Jolla which has great success with patients over 40. Are any of you ladies PG after having treatment with a clinic/RE in La Jolla either with your own eggs or DE? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Also can you give me an idea of how much it cost? We would be looking at ICSI with sperm aspiration via a biopsy.
Thanks in advance.
Re: Success at an IVF clinic in San Diego?
I went to the San Diego Fertility Center, however I was only there for a fertility workup as we were not going to go the IVF route. I liked the facility it was clean and well kept. I saw Dr Rackoff (SP?) and he seemed really knowledgeable. What we didn't like is they were really pushing IVF on us when we had clearly said we were not going to go that route so that was annoying.
https://www.sdfertility.com/ It is off the 5 fwy over by the Ruth Chris up on the hill.
Then I found out a close friend of mine also went there for bother of her pregnancies and she did do IVF. She is not in her 40's, she s in her late 30's and the issues they were having were more with his sperm lacking some "head" to break through the female egg. So slightly different situation but both times they got pregnant pretty quickly and her first child is wonderful, she is currently 2 days ahead of me with her second. She saw a different doctor then me and really liked her's as well.
As far as cost I am not sure, most of what I had done was covered by my insurance, but I kind remember him saying it was like $1000 a shot but I could be way off.
GOOD LUCK!
