I'm on my 4th cycle of Clomid, and went to my doctor last Thurs for a follie check on CD14. For the first time on Clomid, I had no follies, just the tiny "string of pearls" indicative of PCOS. Completely bummed, I gave up on the cycle. A few days later, I had EWCM. And then my temps dipped and rose like I O'd.
My question: have you ever had the signs of O, but never actually O'd? I'm going to have my P4 level checked next week, but I think I already know the answer.
Thank goodness I'm starting a new protocol with my new RE next cycle.
Re: Has your body ever "acted" like it was O'ing, but didn't?
I've never had a thermal shift and not Od....all the other signs yes
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
When I was temping, my chart was all over the place, but I never had a sustained thermal shift. I get lots of EWCM every cycle, O pains and everything. I've only ovulated once in the last 20 months, last cycle.

Lots of Luck to all of 3T/IF
I have had reliable enough thermal shift (although not big and pretty I always got dotted crosshairs) that FF and a whole string of girls on TTC believed that I was ovulating (although with a very short LP). My RE managed to prove that I didn't ovulate anywhere near my thermal shift ... if at all. He didn't bother checking the last 8 days of the cycle to see if I suddenly ovulated because my follicles were too small to have a normal ovulation in a week anyway. If you check my charts (the ones with temps are a ways down, since I don't chart temps after this), my RE believes the only cycle I actually ovulated was cycle 19. Some were sketchy but 21, 20, 18, 14, and 13 show what I'm talking about. Knowing what I know now I can say "Yeah the rise wasn't huge and my temps fluctuated a bit, and my LP was terrible so I can see what he meant" but I would have sworn on a stack of bibles I was ovulating at the time.
That said I've only met one other person in all my time on the bump who claimed to have the same thing happen, and never with the kind of reliability that my body was doing it. But it is possible and I have no idea why it happens (I was downright religious about my temping)
The dildo cam doesn't lie though and it takes time to grow a follicle.

Thanks for your thoughts, ladies.
ecleptic, you're right -- the dildo cam doesn't lie. I'm guessing this cycle's temps are just a major fluke.
Now if AF could just hurry up and get here....
