Nope! I did already have the hemmies (pre-pregnancy). But they never bled. And after sitting/bouncing on the ball, they were bleeding! I had a wedding to go to the next day and it was just awful. Most uncomfortable.
I feel like along with helping open up my pelvis, it also opened up my bum!
aieeeee! Maybe do "clocks", circular motions with your hips (but don't move your shoulders while you do it). The bouncing might be off-limits or better when you're closer to labor.
I used mine once, per the advice of a doula, for about 30 minutes. Bounced up and down on it while surfing the internet.
Next day, HOLY HEMMERHOIDS! Now I'm petrified to use it again.
Was this a freak occurance? Or should I steer clear?
I'm glad you said something, I was bouncing on my ball a couple of times and not to long afterwards noticed hemorhoids and couldn't figure out what would have caused them. Big DUH moment on my part.. I will definetly have to take the advice of the PPs and start rocking instead.

OK, so I sat on the ball for exactly 30 minutes last night. I gently rocked back and forth and side to side rather than bounced. My bum is doing fine today, whew!
But, my crotch isn't doing so welll. All night long as I got up to pee (a million times), I could hardley get up from the pain. It's pretty much concentrated in my outer labia and the front of my crotch (mons pubis).
I checked it out with a mirror to see if I had any "blue twinkie" action going on. There was a little swelling, but I don't think it could be described as "blue" or a "twinkie" at all.
Is this another conicidence that this happened on the same day that I used the balance ball?

Some minor puffiness or swelling is normal at least for me, and I spend hours on mine (ball that is). I just figure that this is also a good thing as LO may be part of the cause of this, due to added pressure from them.

Maybe I'll try this. Wish me (and my bum) luck!!!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm so glad to hear I don't have a freakish bum and this has happened to others.
If y'all get to try some of these techniques, update! I haven't had a chance yet, but I'll keep you informed.
