once we get a bigger house (no later than their 3rd birthday, and likely much sooner than that) they will have their own rooms.
it is just so easy having them in the same room right now; i don't think i'd separate them even if i was able. plus, they really do comfort each other. when i go in in the mornings they are having full-blown conversations.

Susan! I love this. Ha. My H and I got into this debate last night. He was like why don't we just give them their own room now? I tried to explain to him that they'll probably be happier together for a while. Dork.
Until we get a bigger house - which is hopefully around 5 years away? We could always room my older DD with my younger DD, but I would rather keep the twins in their room and my DD in hers. So when we end up with a house with 4 bedrooms, then they can all have their own.
Mine still share, and probably will for a while. We have plenty of room to separate them, and had planned to do so around this time, but they love sharing a room so far. They talk to each other when they wake up from naps and in the morning, the first thing they do when they get out of their cribs is go give each other a hug, and if one wakes the other one up by crying in the middle of the night the non-upset one talks to and even sings to the one that's crying. I don't think they would do very well if we separated them right now. Maybe when they're 3 or 4? We're just playing it by ear. Because they sleep in the same room, we have the third bedroom on this level set up as a play room, and the bedroom downstairs as a guest bedroom. It works pretty well for everyone.

My twins havent technically shared a room. For the first 5 months they shared the pnp(3 months in the livingroom and 2 months in our room) and then we moved them to their cribs. My boys share a room and my daughter has her own.
We separated them at 2.5 years old. That wasn't our intended age, it became a necessity because once they were in beds they would stay up late goofing off together.
I am curious as to whether this will happen to us, too.
right now i love having them in the same room and the like it too. But, DS is now a short napper and DD is still a long napper and DS wakes her up! we started putting DD in our room for naps and that has helped.
Re: b/g twins
we only have the 1 bedroom for them to share.

This is all too cute for words.
