Good Morning Ladies,
(Now that I've been a wake for a while and the b*%chiness in me is gone sry for previous post)
DH and I have our first RE appointment next friday 8/13 and I was wondering if there are any "typical" questions I should be asking. I'm drawing a complete blank ... well other than the obvious WHY. Is there a link to a previous post or is there a website you know of?
TIA
Re: First RE Appt 8/13
I think you'll find that your RE will cover most everything without you asking. Do you have a DX yet? What about YH? If you know what the issue is, you may want to research it a little before the appt. I did a lot of research about PCOS before our appt and had questions ready to go, but he answered most of them before I had a chance to ask them.
Good luck with your initial consult. I know it's a HUGE step. MH and I felt so much better after meeting with our RE.
I would say that most of the questions you will end up asking are spur of the moment. When you go in for your first appointment with the RE, he will more then likely go over past medical history of you and YH. You may or may not have a vaginal U/s also known as your "date with the dildo cam". Depending on where you will be in your cycle he will order you to have some B/w done and for YH to get a SA done. Depending on things he says, that may spark questions- but I wouldn't be surprised if most of them were just dependent on the situation.

Holy big siggy pic!!
I agree with the others, your doc will likely answer any questions you might have before you even get to ask them.
At our first appointment we went over medical history, got DH referred to a urologist, set up a plan contingent upon that appointment and I had an internal exam.
I agree...most of our questions were spontaneous based on the current topic. Our RE was great about going over everything in detail. It was the first time I didn't feel rushed while talking to a doctor.
Good luck!
Good luck!
My first appointment was really informative. The doctor explained things in lots of detail and answered any questions we had that came up. We didn't go in with a prepared list.
It took 5 failed IUIs and a failed IVF, but our FET worked!
