Moving it up a bit!
Sleeping has sucked since about 12 weeks. I am a tummy sleeper and it took forever for me to get adjusted. I used 2 different pillows that I rotate. If I am uncomfortable with one then I try the other. It does not get better either. Did you ever try a snoogle or anything with your first pg? I have been going back and forth on this. I don't know if it will actually help.
And to make matters worse, I have suffered hip issues prior to pregnancy and they have only gotten worse. I have total numbness on my thigh and hip. It will come back to life after the pregnancy according to my hip doctor. Sometimes I think this might be a blessing since I can't feel the pain there.

I have a snoogle that I used for Ella and didn't really enjoy it all that much, but I broke it out last night because I would try anything. Yea, I didn't sleep at all last night. What I do is what you do, I get two pillows, put one under my belly for support and one in between my legs. Then rotate.
I'm sorry about your thigh/hip numbness, but yes, I suppose it's a blessing in disguise, huh? I remember hip pain being bad with Ella starting at about 20 weeks.
I always hate to complain cause I wanted this so badly, but things end up being extremely uncomfortable with growth of the babies:) We'll just have to hang in there and hopefully for a good long time!
