Thanks ladies.  I've had a group of friends who have been avoiding me, but I had to see them tonight for a meeting.  Come to find out they have been avoiding me because I'm laid off and they are worried about their own jobs and don't want to hear how tough the job market is.  One was a good friend that I really thought I could count on.

Wow.  I'm so sorry.  That's unbelievable and just beyond hurtful and ridiculous.  And so self-centered.  Things like this make me wonder what the world is honestly coming to.

I'm so sorry this is happening. I have to admit when I was laid off for several months about 9 years ago, I definitely felt like friends kind of avoided me. In fact, I think I felt more support after the m/c's because by that point, I'd had several friends who had had their own losses and could relate w/o fear of "catching" it. (((Hugs!!))
