Embryologist Just Called
So we had 10 eggs retrieved yesterday. Of those 10 eggs, 9 of them were mature. Of those 9 that were mature, 7 of them fertilized! So we have 7 beautiful embryos growing right now. The embryologist said that they all look good, still single cell, but doing what they should be doing. All of the eggs were fertilized via ICSI...so that was kind of a shocker. The last round we were able to have some fertilize conventionally. This time she said the sperm quality was just not as good and they wanted to make sure there were healthy sperm fertilizing the eggs. So I guess I am happy that we know everything looks healthy.
My transfer is scheduled for Saturday...so we are doing a 5 day transfer of a single embryo...because no one wants me pg with twins again. I am getting so nervous now. I just want the next 9 months to fly!
