How much would you pay a family member to watch your LO?

My brother is currently unemployed, and is going to watch my son during the week while I take classes and work part time until I can get him into a daycare. He will be taking care of him approximately 20-30 hours per week.

What do you think is fair to pay him?

I live in the midwest, btw.

I do daycare for my niece. My SIL pays me $190 a week for 5 days. I told her she didn't have to pay me but she insisted.

I posed the question to DH.  He said $100 a week.  I said $200 a week.  So, maybe $150?

I was thinking anywhere from $150-$180 a week, I'm glad to see your thinking along the same lines as me!

My MIL watches my son twice a week and I pay her $100.
