Preggers with #6 five months after hubby's vasectomy!

Hello! This is the first time I find "the Bump". I am recetly pregnant with my surprise #6 baby. I have all ages from 17 down to 2. In February, my husband underwent a vasectomy and other than fainting on the table, all went well. We even got the "all clear - go have some fun" status from the doctor in April.....well not so fast!!!!!!! I found out last week that I am pregnant with surprise #6.

I have to be honest, I was not happy at first..... I had been daydreaming about freedom coming my way soon.... needless to say that has been pushed back a couple years. I am fine with it. Still shaking my head in disbelief at times, but I figure that God has something very special planned for this one since he/she has made it through what is supposed to be 99.9% impossible.

I am 40 and will turn 41 about a week after my due date.

I am so happy to hear I'm not the only one with babies 17 years apart! My daughter is going away to college next year, and I'm expecting my third child next spring. I'll be shopping for dormitory furniture and baby furniture at the same time. 

 I definitely think there is something special planned for No. 6. Strong-willed child, he or she will be.

Aww congratulations.   I also have one going off to college and a baby on the way.  Funny how that plays out.  Shopping cart at Target full of college and baby supplies.

 Its ment to be and you are being truly blessed, thats what we tell ourselves.

Congrats!! Will let my H know about that one even though we are only having our first! He said he'll get a V after baby#2, not for another couple of years.

We are due on 9/24 and this is going to be our last baby so my hubby's vasectomy is scheduled for 9/9.  I'm not going to share your post with him for fear of freaking him out after we have gotten the 6 week all clear!  LOL

dh refuses to get clipped but with all the different stories.. i'm sorta wondering... what the heck.. if you're meant to get pregnant, you will!

 

LOL..we have kids the same ages. i have a 17, a 15, 11, 5 and 2 also.

also a 9 and  13. wish we lived closer! the kids could have someone to play with their own age! our neighborhood does not have a lot of kids and if there are... they don't play outside!

we were surprised with this baby too and at first, i was shocked. dh was shocked. not happy. going around all day out of the blue "oh great scott!' but we're OK now

Congrats and welcome!!!  Sounds like this baby is a big surprise. 

My parents had 6 kids also. Their first when my mom was 20 and last when she was 38.  We all keep my parents "young" and my baby will be their 13th grandchild!
