That's normal, it can take weeks to go away. I usually have my patients come back 2 weeks after I prescribe their treatment (I'm a pediatric derm PA)...if they are not getting better in 2 weeks, I usually prescribe oral Diflucan (fluconazole). What are you using?? Make sure you use an antifungal cream like OTC Lotrimin (Clotrimazole cream) b/c yeast colonates with 24 hours of a diaper rash!

I am using Desatin, neurosporin, & Nystaton. I have been taking all her foods away because I dont know what caused it in the first place. Starting from scratch again almost.
Stop using Neosporin...it's an antiobiotic and it's rare for diaper rashes to be caused by bacteria, plus it has neomycin, which 90% of people develp an allergy too. If you need an OTC antibacterial cream, use Polysporin. Nystatin is ok...the pedi's always prescribe that, I usually change it to another Rx antifungal. I doubt it's a food allergy.
