I think it looks fantastic and your (I'm assuming here) daughter is really going to treasure that you MADE this for her.
When I was born, my mom hung up a counted cross stitch Elmo canvas - the kind I'm positive my 11yo sister could get done in a day or two - and it's still one of my most treasured childhood items. My mom MADE that for me while she was waiting for me to be born and dreaming about what I'd become. I need to do more of this for my LO.
