The only thing I ever liked of hers was this pink June Cleaver t-shirt she had one time. I have looked everywhere for that thing.

But otherwise...back off lady. You annoy me and the elephants are too good for you.

I luuuuurve Paula Deen though, because she reminds me of my grandma, who I miss terribly. And also because she cooks southern food like my family.

I hate her too, because one should not be encouraged to make less than wholesome food under the tag of "homemade" when half the stuff in it is prepackaged.

Look.  Cooking takes some time.  Cooking from scratch rarely takes more time than cooking by frankensteining together a bunch of premade bullpoop and calling it homemade.  Take, for example, pancakes.  Here's how long it takes me to make Bisquick pancakes:  10 minutes.  And HERE's how long it takes me to make HOMEMADE pancakes:  10 minutes.  And yet the 2nd set have lower sodium, fat, AND calories and are also MUCH more wholesome.

I hate Sandra Lee.

 

Loathe.

 

Big time. 

 

And yes, before anyone feels compelled to say it: I'm a food snob.  I KNOW it.  You know how many cans of Campbells ANYTHING you'll find in my cupboard?  None.

For the record, I am also occasionally lazy.  But I don't buy prepackaged food and then put on an air of respectability by changing it to look homemade.  I'm all or nothing, baby, and if I'm serving you Totinos, I'll do so without shame or justification.

What Grrr said! I hate the insanity of dressing up unhealthy food to look homemade...just cook from scratch. Not only that who coordinates every aspect of themselves and the dining room to match the food!

Aw, shucks, thanks guys.

I feel compelled to say that I've eaten TONS of things in my life that came prepackaged from the store.  Some of them are QUITE good.  But you'll never find me saying "Oh, this little chicken pot pie?  I just whipped it up myself!" unless I actually DID whip the thing up.

 Know why?  Because "This?  Oh, Schwanns did it." is JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER, IMO.  Because Schwanns chicken pot pies = HEAVEN.

Although I still don't do cream soups.  :shudder:
