House in my neighborhood struck by lightning

So during the storm last night a house a street over from us got struck by lightning and caught on fire. Luckily no one was home at the time but the damage looks pretty serious. We slept through the whole thing so I had no idea until someone messaged me on FB about this morning!

    Yikes!  Thank goodness they were out of the house at the time.  How scary.

    The thunderstorms last night were crazy!  I'm glad no one was injured.  However, I feel awful for what they are going through!

    Scary it came so close...it's scary it can just out of the blue get ya like that.

     I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who slept through it though. ;) DH said it was so bad he almost woke me & Margo up & took us downstairs. I'm sure i would have had some objections to that at the time though.
