XP: Cover Letter Help

Hi ladies, I need a good way to say I am applying in confidence. My boss knows everyone in my industry and would like for it not to get back to him. Anyone have any good suggestions in a way to word this? Thank you ladies!

Honestly I don't know if there is a good way to say that without it appearing that you're hiding more than wanting your boss to find out you're looking elsewhere.  I ran across this article (https://tinyurl.com/38cerjn) online about keeping your job search quiet  but it doesn't mention the cover letter at all.  Wish I had better advice for you.  Good luck!
