Awesomeness - Oatmeal Cookie Bars

My favorite, baking in my oven, yay!

1 c. butter, softened

3/4 c. white sugar PLUS extra for sprinkling

1 c. brown sugar, packed

2 eggs

1 tsp.vanilla

2 c. whole wheat flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. cinnamon

3 c. old fashioned (rolled) oats

3/4 c. chocolate chips OR raisins (optional)

Cream butter and sugars, add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.  Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and stir into butter mixture.  Stir in oats and chocolate chips/raisins if desired.

Spread into 13x9 greased pan and sprinkle with sugar.  Bake 20 mins. @ 375.
